Everybody has laundry. Self-serve or drop-off, first time or every week, you get the same room and the same treatment.

This is the service we're proudest of. You bring the bag in, we wash it, dry it, fold it and wrap it. You pick it up done. No sitting in a laundromat, no half a Saturday gone.

And the people who take your bag in are the same people running the floor. Nothing gets shipped off somewhere else. Your items matter to them because they're standing right here with them.

Twice the size, and every machine is new.

The complaint we heard over and over was the same one: the laundromats around here are old and dingy, and nobody's working. So we built the opposite of that.

Forty washers and forty-two dryers, all new, with bigger drums than what's out there now. New machines and new tech, which mostly means fewer things go wrong and your comforter actually fits.

Why a laundromat, and why here.

Local Laundry is a laundromat worth walking into: new machines, staff on the floor, and the cleanest wash in town.

Laundry eats a half day nobody has. College students between classes. Mothers running a household on a schedule that's already full. Anybody in North Augusta who just wants the house clean and the clothes clean without it turning into a project.

So the goal was never to be fancy. It was to be the one you'd pick even if you had a washer at home, because it's cleaner, easier and faster than doing it there.

Nobody should feel out of place doing laundry.

If it's your first time, somebody will walk you through it before you have to ask. If you've been doing this for twenty years, we'll stay out of your way and keep the machines running.

Same room, same treatment, either way. That's what we mean when we say a laundromat for the community.

What being staffed actually changes.

  • You get an answer, not a sign. A person tells you which machine fits what you brought.
  • Problems get handled while you're here. Not reported to a number on a sticker.
  • The room stays clean through the day. Someone is looking at it constantly, not once a week.
  • Drop-off is a handoff to a person. The same staff on the floor are the ones washing and folding your order.
